So this is Blogging? I set up this site for fans, enthusiasts and anyone else interested in Sci-Fi so that they may discuss their hopes, dreams, and wishes for what's to come in the universe of Science Fiction, Paranormal or Fantasy.

Good girls like bad beings

We’ve finally gotten around to coming up with a new poll for November. It is a common theme through out science fiction...the bad guys, the bad species, the bad seeds. Who's your favorite? Forgive me; it's a little heavy on the Star Trek side. But are you really surprised? The poll is now conveniently located. Vote for your favorite villain!

What? No Martians after this summers WOW?? or those creepy guys from Independance day?... ok.. and TWO more. why oh why not that bug guy from Men in Black? (the one wearing an earl skin suit??) oh why oh why not a single bad guy from Lord of the rings? no Gollum? No Dark Lord? [shock and dismay!!!] Sorry they keep coming.. who could see Serenity and not fear and loathe those virus mutated Reiver guys from Miranda?? (THEY KILLED WASH DAMN IT!!!) One or more of the Terminators??? Jack Nicholson as "The Joker" in Batman?? WOW!!

From written fiction how about "The Mule" from the Foundation Trilogy... "Moriarty" from Sherlock Holmes (star trek NG connection too!) EE Doc Smith Fans?... "Boskone"? Can anyone forget Dune and the Evil Baron Harkonnen? (this guy had me sleeping with the lights on in 1968)..... Stephen Kings "The Walking Dude" from The Stand.....(yes it was Sci fi!!) ......... I so enjoy thinking of the bad guys though.. on balance, the borg are as good a set of bad guys as you can get so...I am sanguine voting for them, and would be hard pressed to choose between several of the ones listed above here.. maybe a "Bad Guy vote off"? :-) Thanks Cheryl.. this was fun..
