Starfest, Great Guests and Long Long Nights and Days
Another Starfest is over and this year surpassed last years with flying colors. The guests were great, the panels held were informative, and the friends were wonderful. There was an issue with the hotel room but it was quickly resolved before the wrath of Cheryl came down. (Kidding) We had an unbelievable time seeing all the guests and I especially enjoyed it when Dean Haglund pulled my wife up on stage for a Norwegian Opera about barmaids, I never laughed so hard. The other guests were quite entertaining to listen to as well. I did however notice that Dirk Benedict seemed a little too intense for the convention crowd as he discussed his lack of respect for feminists, while completely avoiding the subject of the new BSG series and any comments about the new Starbuck, but I also didn’t see him Sunday afternoon when he spoke on his own to the fans. By then we were pretty wiped out from the previous evening events, Romulan ale rocks, I am slightly surprised by the fact that our balcony didn’t win the competition, but our congrats to the three that did win...great job to all of you and be ready to defend your title next year if Cheryl has anything to say about it. I will post more when more comes to mind and I will see some of you at Opus in May.
