Oh boy!
The staff of SCIFIPUNDIT would like to congratulate the good folks over at Vodkapundit on the birth of their son Preston Davis Green. Please note the cute factor is extremely high.
What I would like to know is...will it be promade, mousse, gel or some new vodka based hair product? Whatever the choice, I am sure the force will be strong with this one.

Voting will help you endure bad relatives!
Please bear in mind that I have no way to back up my claims, but, hey, it's all in the name of promoting the blog and the blog poll.
So...ponder, contemplate, vote. It's just that simple. And this time of year, simple is good.

A roar or a whimper?
Narnia opens on Friday, just in case you’ve been hiding under a rock with no plans to come out until after Christmas. Will it live up to my childhood based expectations? Or it is just another feeble attempt on the part of Disney to capture (and ruin) a much loved and respected tale? Is this Disney’s stab at seizing the ever growing Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings crowds? Will there be controversy due to the Christian nature of the story?
C. S. Lewis is one of my favorite authors. I even have a book of his poetry, which is hidden somewhere along with my hard copy of Hitchhiker’s Guide. Like HGTG, I have my doubts about how good this movie is going to be. Still, I want to see the movie. I am very pleased that none of the actors have recently shown up on Oprah to jump on her couch and beat on his/her chest. What a refreshing change of pace! I went in search of some reviews. This is what I found. First there is this review. And then here is another positive review. And still more reviews can be found here. Overall, the reviews are encouraging. Could it be there may be one book based movie this year that will translate well from the page to cellulous? I would be so please, as I am sure so many other Lewis and Narnia fans will be as well.

And counting....
Five weeks from today, five more holiday filled weeks! After the holidays, many people are left with the feeling of emptiness. But not me, no way. On January 6, 2006, the continuation of season two of Battlestar Galactica begins. (Let me just say, YAY!!!!) The SciFi channel will return with their usual lineup for SciFi Friday on the 6th as well.
As usual, I can't resist giving our readers the opportunity have a look at a few spoilers. The new episode spoilers are down towards the bottom of the page.

Which Fantasy/SciFi Character Are You?
I've decided today is the unofficial quiz day here at SCIFIPUNDIT. So I took this quiz and it decided I am Galadriel from Lord of the Rings. Interesting outcome, but she does have cool hair.
While you are taking all these quizzes, don't forget to vote in our poll as well.

I received this lovely little quiz from my always charming friend, Scott. Who, by the way, is the winner of the Best Halloween Costume two years running. Thanks Scott for the quiz!
Now, readers, take the quiz and tell us who you are, please.

Have you been good this year?
If you could ask Santa for anything...what would it be? Me? Yes, I've been very good this year. So I would like to ask Santa for my very own Viper. No, Alex, not the Dodge Viper.
Be of good cheer and vote!
