We're through being cool
Star Fest. Day 1 complete. I realize I forgot the charger for my camera batteries. I have 2 batteries, but one is already drained after taking pictures of the stayed-up-until-3 a.m. activities. Also, looking at the way everyone is dressed here, I feel like I didn't bring enough black t-shirts. Or enough eye liner. There have already been some brushes with greatness here...I saw Master Bra'tac getting yogurt at the coffee shop late in the evening (I didn't catch the flavor and I didn't ask him to autograph my Starbucks coffee coozie). I also heard that someone knew of someone else who had seen Commander Susan Ivanova, but I am guessing that this sighting doesn't even begin to measure up against my SG-1 yogurt incident. I am sure there will be more of these chance encounters during today and tomorrow, as the Fest gets into full gear. Hopefully I will catch a glimpse of that guy from the Priceline commercials getting ice from the ice machine or something equally as exciting. Stay tuned to this blog, watch for some exclusive Star Fest pics, wait for more star-packed news, and stay enthralled!

It is Friday, now!
Well, today is finally here! The Starfest in Denver begins today. We are all enraptured over this year’s convention. I mean, come on, Bill is going to be there! And of course, we are all BIG, HUGE Battlestar Galactica fans, so having Grace Park there makes us quite mirthful!
I found a very interesting website that has lots of spoilers and inside information on various Sci-Fi shows/movies. Have a look here. There are pictures from BSG’s 2nd season and some fascinating tidbits about the future of Star Trek. And if you feel so inclined, you may donate to the "Help Battlestar Galactica Win an Emmy Campaign"! And Alex, we can even put a banner on the blog in support of this worthy cause. You just give the word.
And now, I must away to Starfest!!!

And the answer is....42
I just read a review of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy movie. So many people I have spoken with are worried about just how good this new take on an old favorite is going to be. Since all of us will be at Denver's Sci-Fi Convention this weekend, the plan is to go see it next weekend. Once we see it, we will be sure to post our reactions. In the meanwhile, please let us know how you feel about the movie. We love (and welcome) your comments! I am just hoping it won't make Mr. Adams rollover in his grave. If you would like to read the review, then you may find it here.

Grace Park A.K.A Boomer taking the place of Katee Sackoff at this years' Starfest convention
Grace Park has graciously accepted the Starfest invitation to visit us here in Colorado at the convention this year taking the place of Katee Sackoff who ran into production time conflicts and couldn't join us this year but hopefully next time. I am curious how she handles doing both characters of Boomer on BSG. Most find her to be beautiful woman and excellent actress, and I hope entertaining to listen to as one of the many guests appearing this weekend. She isn't new to sci fi, having appeared in many shows through the years I am so pumped up about this coming weekend, seeing old friends and making new ones, watching all the different question and answer panels, as well as the art and model show and don't forget the parties I know from experience go on all night throughout the weekend I also hope people see the and ask about the new T-shirts my friend Cheryl made up for a few of us. We will be passing out cards for the new blog site we created and hope many folks and fans come and visit and hopefully post their thoughts and comments and wishes for Sci fi or fantasy I would love to hear what folks think so come on and post away or send an idea for a post that would be great too
Friend competing in model contest at Starfest
A good friend of mine who I have known for some years now is competing modeling contest at Starfest this weekend. My friend Garry Hill has won numerous contests with some of his creations I hope all that go to the convention this weekend come by and look for his starship based on Star Trek, I think most will be impressed with his wonderful work and if you get a chance to vote on the best model please take a hard look at his design. Garry and I worked together and played Battletech together for a few years he has three wonderful little girls and a great wife I have had the pleasure of knowing as well So my friend I wish you great luck this weekend and trust me I will vote for you if its an open contest

William Shatner attending Starfest
The first captain of the Enterprise and a leading role on Boston Legal, is attending Starfest in Denver this weekend, April 29th thru May1 I have watched him since I was a little kid watching the Star Trek with my grandmother. I know many fans of his work are thrilled to have him here in Colorado and its a big feather in Starlands' cap to get such a wonderful actor to appear. A talented actor, screen writer, author and excellent horseman, it will be a great pleasure to see him in person finally after so many years admiring his work. I personally don't want to hear him belt out a song I remember his early attemps and don't want to hear it again, no really I don't wanna hear it. I think most would agree with me and the few that don't are just tone deaf or at least I hope they are. I am very excited about the guest lineup and events planned for a great Starfest

New Look For The Blog Site
Well, have a new look to my blog site thanks to some extremely helpful and talented friends Cheryl and Robert, and my beautiful wife who will be at StarFest in Denver this weekend "Thank you both so much" I think it looks fantastic, and I will rent them out for a nominal fee. We will add pictures from Starfest and Opus as soon as we take some and if our group isn't too drunk we can't focus I am proud to call Cheryl and Robert my friends, and I wish to thank them from the bottom of my heart for what they did on the blog site We also made some great business cards to hand out so I hope to have more visitors to the site but I hope folks enjoy what's here and what I am sure will come in the future if Cheryl has even a little to say about it.

Klingon eye for the feddie guy
Ok, now I have seen it all. Starfest is hosting Klingon eye for the feddie guy a take off of Queer Eye. I have a strange feeling I will be watching this show, it will be presented by the Klingon House Veska out of Denver I believe and a good group of people. The parody will be a great play on a funny show I think watching the feddie guys being turned into metro klingsexuals will be quite entertaining for all who attend I give an A+ to the one who came up with this idea as well as the others who planned out the events and activities scheduled for Starfest at the end of this month being held in Denver April 30th thru May1 I believe it will be one of the better conventions presented since I have been attending and yes Cheryl I am sure I may be convinced to ask the question you posed to me or should I say dared me to ask to some of the guests attending and if I do you have to buy me a drink of my choice or possibly two drinks... We will see
